What we collect

From the person who creates a record: your email address, the text you paste, the lines drafted from it, and subscription and billing history. From the person asked to confirm: the email address the creator provides, your line-by-line responses and notes, and — at the moment of confirmation — your IP address and browser user-agent string. The IP and user-agent exist for one purpose: making the confirmed record checkable later. Text you paste often contains other people's details — names, addresses, email addresses. Remove what you would not want to share, and paste only what you have the right to paste.

Who processes it

Text is sent to Anthropic's API to draft the lines and to answer checks; it is processed under Anthropic's commercial API terms and is not used to train models. Email is sent through SendGrid. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers. The service and its database run on Render, in the United States. Copies of the database are stored as backups with Cloudflare R2, in North America (see Retention). We do not sell personal data, run advertising, or share data with anyone beyond the processors named here, except as required by law.

The free check — website and AI assistants

When you use the check at scopelinq.com/check without an account, the text you paste is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce your result. We keep that text for up to 24 hours so you can save the result to a new account, then it is deleted automatically. If you do create an account and save the result, that text becomes part of your record and is kept on the same terms as everything else in your account until you delete it. We keep a record that a check happened — the result, its confidence, how much text was involved, and where you arrived from — but not the text itself. Please remove names, email addresses and anything else you would not want to share before you paste: text copied from an email thread often contains another person's details, and you are responsible for what you submit. We do not sell this text and we do not use it for advertising. The same applies when the check is used through an AI assistant via the Model Context Protocol; what you share with the assistant is also handled by that assistant's provider under its own terms.

Each record is independent

We do not build profiles across your past records or use one record's data to inform another's analysis.

Retention

Confirmed records are retained so both parties can return to the confirmation link. Free-check text is deleted within 24 hours. Draft and expired records may be deleted on request. Database backups are taken daily and after each deployment and are kept for 30 days, then deleted; a backup taken while text was still present can contain that text until the backup is deleted. To request access to or deletion of your data, email hello@scopelinq.com from the address on the record.

Cookies

We use one session cookie to keep you signed in and one referral cookie if you arrive through a referral link. No analytics or advertising cookies.
